Founder and CEO of Posturite established in 1991, the company is now the UK market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of posture improving products. Posturite have over 60% of the UK's curative ergonomic market. They supply blue chip-companies, governments, local authorities and other organisations.
Mark Brigland
Former Head of Group Finance, Insurance and Compliance for Group 1 Automotive and now Head of Business at Chandlers Hailsham BMW & MINI. Mark joined Group 1 back in 2013 and was instrumental in their revenue and profit growth over the last 6 years through the implantation of sales processes and compliance procedures – following this success he has now been tasked with running one of their flagship stores in Hailsham with two of the most iconic brands in the motor industry. In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children and coaching two children’s football teams.
Joel Fielder of Switchplane
Switchplane offers custom software for SME's looking to upscale their operations with the help of technology. Joel started the business 15 years ago with his brother Tom from his parents' converted garage. They now have a team of 14 behind them, including one of the largest in-house development teams in the region.
Nikki Gatenby of Propellernet
Nikki Gatenby is the Managing Director of Propellernet, one of the most progressive Search Marketing agencies in the UK. Her background is in developing, leading and inspiring marketing teams across Europe and has been experimenting with better ways of working in competitive digital agencies for the last 20 years.
Nikki has appeared on the BBC and in the Guardian while Propellernet is hailed as one of the top 25 places to work in Europe and for the last 3 years running has been named as one of the top 10 UK Best Places to Work.

Senior officers from Eastbourne Borough Council, Hastings Borough Council, Lewes District Council, Rother District Council, Wealden District Council and Graham Peters of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership will answer your questions about the local economy and how they support business in East Sussex.
Graham Peters
Graham Peters has a business background in small-scale commercial and residential property development and advice. He has been involved in economic regeneration especially of the rural areas of East Sussex for 15 years. Graham is the Chairman of Team East Sussex, the Federated sub-board of SELEP, Chairman of the East Sussex Rural Partnership, sits on other not-for-profit boards, including as a director of Woodland Enterprises Ltd and Rother Valley Railway Ltd, and was the High Sheriff of East Sussex 2013 – 2014.

Michael Dale

Huw Merriman MP
MP for Bexhill and Battle, Huw was first elected in 2015 having qualified as a barrister. His final position as a Managing Director and Lawyer was leading a team that unwound the Lehman Brothers' estate in Europe - a huge challenge in crisis management. Since being elected, Huw has served on the Transport Select Committee holding the Government and rail franchise holders to account on national transport issues.
Tim Norwood
Tim joined Gatwick as Chief Planning Officer in February 2017 with responsibility for the development of the long term master-plan and subsequently took on the role of Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, creating a combined Directorate. He was previously Chief Planning Officer at EDF Energy with responsibility for securing consent for the Hinkley Point C Project and progressing the planning and environmental assessment work for nuclear new build at Sizewell. Prior to that, Tim held several planning roles in BAA at Heathrow and Stansted. Tim has also worked in local government and consultancy.
Dan Shelley
Dan has worked in education, social and economic regeneration in Sussex for over 15 years. Dan has successfully led on significantly growing Ofsted graded Good Apprenticeship delivery, establishing the University Centre Hastings and successfully led external partnerships and relationships, marketing and our International business for the college since joining from City College Brighton & Hove in August 2012. In his spare time Dan enjoys spending time with his family, running and is a long suffering Derby County FC fan.
Richard Heal
Richard started his engineering career as an apprentice at Atomic Energy Harwell in Oxfordshire, qualifying as a design engineer. He completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering whilst working for the MOD, specialising in Aerial Delivery. After moving to the South Coast he has worked as a project manager in the Automotive Industry and as a design manager in the Marine Industry managing many products through design to manufacture. Since 2007 he has worked on various government funded initiatives. Richard joined the University of Greenwich in October 2016 to work on the ‘Innovate to Succeed’ program during which time he has supported many SME’s in achieving high growth through Innovation. Many of these companies have successfully launched new products into the market both here and internationally.
