Sussex International Trade Forum & ACES Joint Members Evening
Towner Gallery - Feb 2014

Over 80 members attended a great evening of networking with ACES, UKTI and the Sussex International Trade Forum at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne.  Speakers including Simon Partridge of EMC Management
Consultants
, Lev Denker, UKTI International Trade Adviser,  Steve Elliott for RSE Worldwide and Christina Ewbank for Lindon East Marketing and Creative Consultancy.
Case studies included:
  • Steve Elliott talked about the help Mandy Brook, MD of RSE Worldwide, has received from UKTI since she started talking to them in October 2013. Through UKTI she had made contacts all over the world and expects to achieve £500,000 additional turnover by the end of the year from this new global business.
  • Christina Ewbank talked about the way Lindon East Marketing and Creative Consultancy has expanded its business via UKTI Trade Missions to the Far East and the USA.  They have found that "Brand Britain" is highly marketable and there is a huge demand for British business people, British expertise and British goods all over the world.  Since their first UKTI Trade Mission in 2006, they estimate that 80% of their creative work comes from abroad and by 2015, 50% of their Marketing Consultancy will too.
Brian Lindon recommends the UKTI Passport to Export programme and attending Trade Missions.  He also has a two week trip to the Far East coming up which is being match funded by UKTI and will include Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South China.
Even if you have never considered you have something to sell abroad, 'Simon Says' look overseas for growth and contact Lev Denker at UKTI to help!
